Today, we look back at the creation of the Armored Core series, which began with Armored Core, released for the Sony PlayStation in July 1997. As part of its story, we'll also learn about the early history of its development studio, FromSoftware. We'll look at how a business software company turned into one of the premiere developers for mech-based and role-playing titles. Finally, we'll briefly touch on the Armored Core series as a whole.
